When microfinance clients experience personal or business problems very often MFIs apply zero tolerance to loan repayments. Helena, the CEO of Belita in Tanzania explains how after a training in social performance management by Anton Simanowitz, supported by Oikocredit, she took a different approach. After her business burnt down, instead of selling her land and impoverishing her family, a Belita client had the opportunity to reschedule and her loan and re-capitalise. She is now repaying well, her business is successful and she tells everyone about Belita

Its an inspiration video.Yes,MFIs can re-schedule their strategies to make sure that thier poor clients are not pushed below thier existing state of impoverishment but get an opportunity to come up in thier lives.
