We found in 2003 that established MFIs and financial cooperatives were hesitant to provide services to the traumatized, un-bankable, excluded, HIIV+ve and displaced in Eastern DR Congo. Concerned citizens developed CCMV/ACBL (Centres de Conseils pour Mieux Vivre-Advisory centers for better living), to provide services in Goma, Bukavu and surrounding villages. Later CCMVs were established in North Katanga DRCongo to release and reinstate child soldiers efficiently.
